Each week, local high school's athletic directors, teachers, counselors and/or principals will select two high school athletes, one male, one female to be the Scholar Athletes of the Week. The selected students will be recognized on air during halftime of a Thursday Night Lights game broadcast. All Scholar Athletes selected will have a chance of winning a $2,500 scholarship to the college or university he/she plans to attend.

Karli M. - Week 5 Arbor View High School GPA: 4.2 Karli is one of Arbor Views top 5 runners. She is a 2011 Varsity athlete and ran in the 2011 State XC meet. Karli is a hard working student both in the classroom and on her team. She is a student council officer and is enrolled in honor classes. |
