OFFICAL RULES

Who Can Enter

1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be U.S. residents who are 15.5 years to 20 years of age on March 1, 2010 and must reside in the state of Nevada. Each entrant must have a valid driver's permit.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Media Inc., and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast stations KVCW-TV and KVMY-TV (collectively the “Stations”),  Driver's Edge, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.   The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.

How to Enter

• No purchase is necessary to enter. Qualified entrants may enter as often as they wish. Entrant may only be on one team. Individuals must be a team of at least four 4 members. A team may not contain any more than five (5) members. For purposes of this contest entrants shall mean team consisting of 4-5 team members.

Each entry must address teen driving safety. Entries can be submitted as video, story, poster, storyboard, PSA, or script anything that can be used to illustrate the teen driving safety message. The finished length is :20. Video entries must be :20 in the form of VHS, DVD, broadcast tape, or Video CD. Incomplete, illegible or offensive materials will be disqualified.

• The contest starts on December 1, 2009 entries must be received by 5 p.m. March 5, 2010. The stations and Police Services & Community Programs Department of Public Safety/Office of Traffic Safety is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected mail or for printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
• Entries will be judged by a panel of judges comprised of station personnel, Sponsors, and Various Traffic Safety Department representatives. The grand prize will be determined based on the following criteria: (i) impact of message 33% (ii) creativity 33% and (iii) originality 33%. The judges will select Finalists to participate in the Drivers Edge Program March 15 2009, the judges will select winners from the Driving Course and the Safety Message contest to attend the Disneyland Trip in Spring of 2010. One (1) entry will be selected as the grand prize winner. The decision of the judges shall be final. The Stations and judges reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any entry. Winners for the PSA contest will be notified by March 15, 2010. The winners for the Disneyland trip will be notified by April 1, 2010.
• All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void.All entries, including videotapes become the property of Sinclair Media Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. Police Services & Community Programs, Department of Public Safety/Office of Traffic Safety and the stations and will not be acknowledged or returned.
• All entries must be entrants' original work and should not be/have been submitted to or published or broadcast by any other publication or media company. The public service messages may not contain any copyrighted or trademarked material including but not limited to: photograph likenesses of or references to celebrities or known persons alive or dead, recorded music, published works from books, magazines, newspapers, plays, song lyrics, scripts, essays, articles, web site content, or clips from television programs or movies, sports footage, official logos of any organization, existing artwork or graphic design. Entrants cannot use copyrighted music in the PSA; only original or uncopyrighted music Station may edit the entries to fit the confines of the 20-second pod in order to accommodate the sponsor introduction and ending. The Station reserves the right to edit, crop or alter the PSA without notification to or approval by the entrant.
• No royalties, talent fees or compensation will paid to those who appear in the video entry submissions. Any individual appearing in the finalists P.S.A.'s will be required to sign an appearance release form. Anyone under 18 and appears the finalists P.S.A.'s a parent signature is required to appear in the P.S.A.

The Prize Pool

1. One (1) Grand Prize team will have their :20 PSA produced and aired on KVMY and KVCW Las Vegas. 2nd prize Winners will receive a 2 day 1 night trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca. (prize will consist of bus transportation to and from Disneyland, 1 night lodging, 2 day park hopper pass, the trip package includes 2 meals each day, other transportation, gratuities, trip cancellation insurance, or any other expenses are not included). Two Hundred Forty (240) entrants will compete in Drivers Edge in April 2010.
2. Winners and Finalist will be notified by phone/letter. Winners and Finalist must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility within 10 days of notification. Winners must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented. Winners may be required to sign additional documents determined by Sponsor.
3. Winners of the PSA contest will be contacted by Regional Coordinator. Winners of the Disneyland trip will notified by April 1, 2010.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winners are responsible for any taxes related to the prize based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Winners should consult their tax consultants regarding any tax questions.
6. Sinclair Media Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
7. Sinclair Media Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
8. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. KVCW and KVMY, its board of directors, employees, or sponsors are not responsible and can not be held liable for mishaps or problems associated with the Drivers Edge contest or Disneyland Trip. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Media Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.

Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous

2. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope ATTN: PACE, 3830 S. Jones, Las Vegas, NV 89103 after April 1, 2010.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Media Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.
6. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc and the stations are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
7. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
